WRESTLING NEWS

We will be attending a team wrestling camp this summer at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. The dates of the camp are July 5-9. We will need a minimum of 15 wrestlers to attend. The cost for each wrestler will be $335. This cost includes room and board, five days of technique, clinics and competition and a camp t-shirt. We will travel to Stillwater in personal vehicles driven by coaches or parents and get all travel plans arranged before we leave. Head Wrestling Coach Tim Draper will be attending and possibly other Santa Fe coaches. This camp is for the next fall 9th-12th graders planning on wrestling on the Varsity and JV teams at Santa Fe High School.

Each camper that is planning on attending will need to return a camp application form and $100 deposit by Friday May 15, 2009. Please make checks payable to Cowboy Wrestling Camps.  We will hold the checks until we have our minimum 15 wrestlers. When we have reached our minimum number of wrestlers, we will commit to the camp as a team and forward the checks and applications to OSU.

Once the camp receives your check the deposit becomes non-refundable. Any one wanting to participate, we have a number of fundraisers to help off set the camp costs. Brenda Hebert is trying to line up most fund raising activities and she can be contacted at brenok2@cox.net.

Each day camp will begin with breakfast at 7:00am and the final session of the camp ends at 8:30pm. Contact Coach Tim Draper at 229-2952 (cell) or 715-7248 (school) with any questions.
